Charles has over 20 years of experience developing strategies, solutions, data analysis and processes to support progressive marketing across industries, including FMCG, Technology, Finance and Media. Charles offers specific expertise in e-marketing, database marketing, marketing automation, direct mail and data analysis. Most recently, Charles headed up the world wide database marketing team at Gartner, with a team of 8 specialists in three continents. In 6 years he built a focus on data driven marketing strategies across all Gartner business units, and implemented a multi-million dollar marketing automation project. Prior to that, Charles held data consultancy positions at Cendris, engaging clients in travel and financial services at senior director level. He has held board director roles at leading DM agencies, and worked client side on some of the biggest global brands. He lives on the West Sussex coast with his family, is a qualified cricket coach, and a certified petrolhead (as his blog will demonstrate) | Simon Daniels Director, Marketing Operations Consulting A specialist in business marketing data strategy and management, marketing operations and analytics, Simon’s experience spans the information and communication technology sector, working across Europe, North America and the Asia Pacific regions. Simon has been responsible for a number of marketing database and campaign automation solution implementations, together with a variety of customer management and development programmes. Simon’s focus is always on ensuring marketing effectiveness and accountability. Whilst running Marketing Operations in Europe at enterprise software vendor Progress Software most recently, Simon and his team were responsible for the deployment of a marketing automation system and execution of marketing activity across the region. Previous positions have included roles at Apple, T-Mobile and Gartner. A Member of the Institute of Direct Marketing, Simon contributes to the IDM Business to Business Certificate, delivering the database marketing and business insight module, and also assumes the blogging guise of "Marketing Insight Guy". Based in London, Simon has a keen interest in technology and enjoys keeping abreast of current affairs, as well as spending time in the great outdoors walking, camping and pursuing his other interest of digital photography. |
